Andrew G. Inglis

Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Andrew G. (Andy) Inglis joined Kosmos on March 1, 2014 as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors. With more than 30 years of experience, he is one of the most respected upstream executives in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Inglis came to Kosmos most recently from Petrofac where he was chief executive of the Integrated Energy Services business and a member of the board of directors. Prior to Petrofac, he spent 30 years with BP, most recently as CEO of its exploration and production business. He was an executive director on the BP board between 2007 and 2010. From 2004 to 2007, he was BP executive vice president and deputy chief executive of exploration and production, with responsibility for BP's growth areas, including Azerbaijan, Angola, Algeria, Gulf of Mexico, Egypt, Trinidad, and the Asia-Pacific region. He is a former non-executive director of BAE Systems plc and TNK-BP Ltd. Mr. Inglis holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Pembroke College, Cambridge University. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Thomas P. Chambers

Chief Financial Officer

Thomas P. Chambers joined Kosmos in November 2014 as a senior vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Chambers brings to Kosmos significant corporate finance and executive experience in the international exploration and production industry. Prior to his duties at Kosmos, Mr. Chambers most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Apache Corporation from November 2010 to February 2014. Over a nearly 20-year tenure at Apache, Mr. Chambers held a variety of leadership roles in finance, corporate planning and investor relations. Before joining Apache, he served in the international business development group at Penzoil Exploration and Production Company, and held a range of management positions with the BP plc group of companies. Mr. Chambers earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Richard R. Clark

Senior Vice President and Head of Gulf of Mexico business unit

Richard Clark leads Kosmos' Gulf of Mexico business unit. More than 25 of his 40 years in the energy business have been focused in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. In 1996, he was one of the founders of Mariner Energy, Inc., serving as Executive Vice President and a board member. In 2004, he was a founder of Deep Gulf Energy and has served as President of the company from its inception until it was purchased by Kosmos in September 2018. He currently serves as the 2019 Chairman of the National Ocean Industries Association. Mr. Clark has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He launched his career at Shell Offshore in 1979.

Christopher Ball

Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer

Christopher (Chris) Ball leads Kosmos' business development activities and commercial operations. Mr. Ball joined Kosmos in July 2013 after serving as vice president, business development for the upstream unit of Mubadala, a $50 billion investment company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Previously, he was senior vice president of Occidental Development Company and president and general manager of Occidental Middle East Development Company, where he was responsible for business development activities in the Caspian, the Middle East, and North Africa. During his tenure at Occidental, Mr. Ball led and facilitated numerous successful new business activities including the company’s acquisition of concessions in Angola, Nigeria, and Suriname. He also worked in the commercial and mergers & acquisitions arena at Texaco in Houston, London, and New York and in upstream asset development and management at Amoco in London. Over his 20 year career, he has managed numerous multi-disciplinary teams that have generated, developed, and closed a number of exploration and production opportunities globally. Mr. Ball earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Brunel University in London.

Mike Anderson

Senior Vice President of External Affairs,
Government Relations, and Security

Mike Anderson joined Kosmos Energy in March 2015 as Senior Vice President of External Affairs, Government Relations, and Security. Mr. Anderson has extensive leadership experience in several areas of government. He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge gaining a double first in law. He joined the British Diplomatic Service in 1984 and served in Moscow, Geneva and New York, among other postings. He was also Chief of Staff to two Chiefs of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). In 2003, he moved into leadership roles in the UK home Government. He was Principal Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice from 2003-2006, became the first Director General for Climate Change in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and then in the Department of Energy and Climate Change from 2007-2009, and served most recently as Director General within the Home Office where he was responsible for international policy and strategy as well as for Her Majesty's Passport Office and immigration policy.

Jason E. Doughty

Senior Vice President
General Counsel

Jason E. Doughty has over 20 years of legal experience in the international oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Kosmos in September 2011, he spent more than 11 years with ConocoPhillips in various leadership roles, including serving as deputy general counsel, Americas Exploration and Production. During his tenure with ConocoPhillips, Mr. Doughty was responsible for the company’s commercial litigation and international arbitration efforts; the Lower 48 and Latin America E&P legal group; and the Indonesia legal group. Previously, he was an attorney with ExxonMobil in Houston and a commercial litigation attorney in private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mr. Doughty earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor of science degree in finance from Louisiana Tech University. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Tracey K. Henderson

Chief Exploration Officer

Tracey K. Henderson has participated in the discovery and appraisal of major oil and gas resources offshore Mauritania, Senegal, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea. Ms. Henderson joined Kosmos Energy in 2004, and she has played an instrumental role in building and replenishing the company’s industry-leading exploration portfolio. Ms. Henderson was a key member of the technical team responsible for the Tortue, Marsouin, Teranga and Yakaar natural gas discoveries offshore Mauritania and Senegal, which together opened one of the largest new hydrocarbon basins along the Atlantic Margin. In addition, she was involved in the discovery of the Jubilee Field offshore Ghana, which is considered one of the largest oil discoveries offshore West Africa during the last decade. Prior to joining Kosmos, Ms. Henderson established her record of exploration success at Triton Energy where she was a project geologist working on the Ceiba, Okume, and Oveng oil discoveries offshore Equatorial Guinea. Ms. Henderson earned a master’s degree in geophysics and a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Neal D. Shah

Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Neal D. Shah joined Kosmos in 2010. Mr. Shah is responsible for Kosmos’ financing and treasury functions, as well as oversight of operations in Equatorial Guinea.  As Deputy CFO, Mr. Shah oversees finance, treasury, investor relations, information technology and internal audit.  Mr. Shah earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Amy Wynn-Steffek

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Amy Wynn-Steffek is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Kosmos Energy. She has more than a decade of HR management experience, with leadership roles in talent acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, product lines, shared services, and corporate functions. In her current role, Amy is responsible for the strategy and execution of all aspects of HR in alignment with the company strategy, ensuring Kosmos’ talent management sets the basis for continued growth.

Prior to joining Kosmos, Amy worked for Baker Hughes in a variety of HR leadership roles, supporting the company’s international business.

Amy attended Houston Baptist University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing degree as well as a Master of Science in Human Resource Management.

Todd Neibregge

Senior Vice President and Head of Mauritania -Senegal business unit

Mr. Niebruegge leads our Mauritania and Senegal business unit and oversees our involvement in the Tortue LNG project. He has more than 25 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry, working on projects in Africa, Asia and Europe. Before joining Kosmos in 2013, Mr. Niebruegge worked for Hess Corporation in a variety of commercial and financial roles, including serving as director of finance for global production. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma.

Paul Tooms

Senior Vice President, Technical Functions

Paul Tooms joined Kosmos Energy in 2017. He was formerly Head of Engineering at BP E&P, where he was recognized for his many problem solving accomplishments. He has worked and lived in many different countries and spent the first part of his 38-year career drilling oil and gas wells. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London, and is also Chairman of The Welding Institute Council.
