In October 2025, Kosmos Energy’s Vice President and Country Manager for Equatorial Guinea, Fidel Envo, joined a roundtable at Africa Energy Week in Cape Town, South Africa.
He spoke about how collaboration, innovation and strong partnerships are key in advancing Africa’s upstream sector and unlocking the continent’s full energy potential. Drawing on Kosmos Energy’s recent drilling campaign in the Rio Muni Basin, he explained how the work has delivered valuable insights that will strengthen future exploration efforts around the Ceiba and Okume fields and the EG-24 block. The data acquired has been integrated with legacy seismic data and processed with advanced AI tools, enabling faster, more informed decision-making as Kosmos matures new prospects. He emphasized that this continued focus on learning and innovation reflects Kosmos’ commitment to Equatorial Guinea and its confidence in the country’s potential as a competitive, investor-friendly destination for energy development.
